Dear Fantasy Reader,

Some stories arrive in the quiet corners of the mind, slowly taking shape over time. Others appear like a bolt of lightning, demanding to be told. The Messenger From Myris Dar, the first book in The Stone Guardians series, was the latter.

This world came to me in my dreams—vivid, insistent, refusing to fade with the morning light. The landscapes, the characters, the prophecy that binds them all—it was as if I had glimpsed another realm and was entrusted with the task of bringing it to life. I have spent years doing just that, crafting not only the story but also the illustrations, each one carefully drawn in a classic style to complement the tale’s depth and richness.

In 2023, The Messenger From Myris Dar was honored as a Page Turner Award finalist, a recognition that affirmed what I had felt from the beginning—this story is something special. And now, I want to share it with you.

I thoroughly enjoyed drawing this one! You know when the image you have in mind for a drawing turns out exactly as you envision it? Lol. Yeah, almost never right? But the Warriors of the Klyssen Horse Clans was one of those rare occasions where the actual artwork matched my vision for it perfectly.

On an exciting note… I have now completed my revisions for Book One, The Messenger From Myris Dar, with more illustrations and a new chapter! When the book completes its second edition publishing, I will be creating my first special edition Kickstarter campaign for it. I am so excited to see both the regular new edition hardcover and the deluxe special edition hardcovers📖

The cover painting for Keeper’s Burden, the second edition Book Two of The Stone Guardians. I just loved sinking into the details of this piece. I still have some final touches to do before it graces the cover of Keeper’s Burden, but I am really excited to see it printed!

I have almost completed revisions for Book One’s second edition publishing which will include more illustrations and a new chapter. It is such a joy to revisit this work and fall in love with these characters all over again❤️

On a side note: I have noticed that all of my posts on instagram are being darkened by the app… I am not sure why but it is frustrating. Anyone else experiencing this?

As I began drawings for the books, I originally was working on white paper. However as I expanded the work I started using a toned grey paper which allows the use of white pencil crayons. I so love the storied and classic feel of this process.

October 26th and 27th... The @thepenticon is next weekend! I am excited to once again be attending the awesome Penticon. If you are in the Okanagan and want to attend a family-friendly event, make sure you come out to see it.

I will be in the Exhibitor Hall, Booth A3, and will be sharing all things Stone Guardians, including signed books, book boxes, limited edition prints and postcards.

I am also doing sculpture demos all weekend and will be displaying some of the large original paintings featured on the covers of the books. I look forward to seeing folks there❤️
